Five matchdays into the Serie A season, the table is headed by the usual suspects. Roma, Inter and a resurgent Lazio are level on 13 points. But look a little further down and you will find the most remarkable story of the opening month. Frosinone, promoted in May, sit sixth on 10 points, level with Juventus and Como and just three points off the top. It is the best start the club has ever made in the top flight.
Their latest victim was Como. Cesc Fàbregas's side arrived at the Stadio Benito Stirpe unbeaten, fresh from a Champions League debut and with ambitions of joining the leaders. They left having lost 2-0, their first defeat in five months.
