Como go to Lens: The lakeside fairytale takes its Champions League story on the road
04.11.26, 11:48 5 Minute Read
There is a version of this story that sounds too neat to be true. A small club on the shores of a lake in northern Italy, bankrupt and starting again in the fifth tier less than a decade ago, now sitting fourth in Serie A and travelling to one of the most famous football towns in France for a Champions League night. If you had pitched it to a film studio in 2017, they would have sent you away and told you to make it more believable.
And yet here we are. Tonight, Como play Lens at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis, and if you are an English fan who has only just started hearing the name, this is the moment to pay attention. Very few people in Britain are telling this story properly. It deserves better.
